This week in our yoga practice we are exploring svadhisthana, the second major chakra. The first chakra is about grounding down and creating structure, the second is all about letting go and creating and being in the flow.

Located in the lower abdomen and genitals, this chakra is all about desire and creativity, sexuality and creation and the seat of our personal power.

This week's practice will be a gently somatic practice focused on the sacral area and in the hips, building structure and inviting flow.

We are coming up to the end of the Christmas seaso

We are coming up to the end of the Christmas season and the last day the 6th Jan is celebrated as “Women’s Little Christmas”. Growing up in Cork we were never allowed to take down the decorations until this day had passed!
Traditionally on this day, women got to “down tools” after all the hard work over the Christmas period, have a day of rest for themselves. This gave women a well deserved chance to gather together, to chat, to eat, share stores and to relax. With that in mind, I’d love to invite you to join me for an evening of sharing stories, yoga and a relaxing sound bath. We will gather in Abington form 7.30pm to 9pm - just bring yourself, a mat and blanket.

You are warmly invited to join us on New Year's D

You are warmly invited to join us on New Year's Day 2023 to begin the year in community, in chant, in prayer, in sound with Fran, Mahatmananda/Tadhg & Brenda and myself and Martin.
We will begin with chanting sacred chants and mantras to open the heart and connect with the divine in ourselves and each other. You don’t need any ‘singing’ experience or ability and will get to experience the joy of singing together.

Afterwards you are welcome to relax and restore with the sounds Gongs and Tibetan Bowls with the fabulous Brenda.
We hope you will stay for a cuppa and chat, leaving feeling more connected to yourself and others, more renewed and refreshed, a wonderful start to your 2023.
Donations are welcome - all proceeds go to Novas (https://www.novas.ie/). A Limerick based charity that promotes social inclusion through Housing, Health, Recovery.

Meeting so many wonderful people, tutors, practitioners and lovers of the power of sound to connect, to heal and to become more conscious of all that we are.

It was especially thrilling fur me to meet this fabulous keynote speaker @originalwisdom__ . I've been studying the sounds of Sanskrit online with Lucy for a couple of years, and the joy of meeting her in person and sounding live thus weekend was mind and heart opening.

Our voice is totally unique to us, to our life experience, to our intention as we make sound, speaking, singing, even sighing !

🌠Our voices have two ways of moving through - firstly through a wave form, where the sound continues roughly a mile.. and secondly, the sound we make is better represented as a sound bubble where the atoms of the sound create infrared electromagnetism, otherwise known as light. This light can travel all the way to the stars 🌟 ✨!
🌠This is such exciting research coming from the work of John Steward Reid and others and begins to explain why sound healing works and how sound is a wonderful carrier of intention, of light of energy.
🌠I'm so fascinated by this science, but also know the power of sound healing from the effect within myself and the impact it has on my clients 🤗🙏

We've just completed module three of a year long Sound Healing Practitioner training with the Voice training.
✨Each weekend we drop in deeper into the power of sound.
✨Module three introduces the topic 'music as medicine' and we share two powerful methods of healing through sound, especially working on our emotional body.
✨
Here are some images of how wonderful the work is and these amazing students are now offering this work through case studies and learning so much more through self practice and sharing the work.
✨
What I observe through this work is the healing power of intimacy, intentionality and sacredness of sound healing with the voice, on behalf of both the giver and receiver.
✨
Over the course of this training, students learn to unlock their authentic voice and begin to trust their intuitive voice. Offering pure vocal sound to another with the intention of healing is what our human voices are uniquely, directly and naturally designed to do and have been doing for centuries.🙏
✨
If you are interested in this work, either for your own health and healing or to share with others please get in touch. Learning to use and trust your own intuitive voice takes you on a path of discovery, self-acceptance and deep love.

Previous students have continued to use this work for themselves, add to existing modalities, worked with people, with animals, with the land and the waters.
✨
It is a year long training, held over 5 weekends. It is certified by the College of Sound Healing and has a robust curriculum which encompasses the science, history, practice and experience of Sound Healing. DM me for more information
